The first Fireside Chat at Impact Hub Lausanne explored the topic of Inspiration. The invited guests Matheus Guimarães and Jay Burton are working in creative professions: Matheus being a web designer and Jay working in communications. Both of them see their artistic work (graphic art and photography) and as an important outlet for their inspiration and creativity.

In an intimate discussion, moderated by Krista Kaufmann, they shared their work and explored with the audience questions like “What is Inspiration?” and “What triggers or blocks it?”

A main takeaway from the audience was that it’s okay to not always be inspired – realizing that inspiration happens in rare moments and even for creative professionals being blocked can feel as the normal state.

But more than that: Inspiration is not limited to creative professions.
